How to Clean Petri dishes after Use
Views:
Petri dishes are usually cleaned by four steps: soaking, washing, pickling and cleaning.

1. Immersion: New or used glassware should be immersed in clear water first, softening and dissolving attachments. New glassware must be washed simply with tap water before use, and then soaked overnight with 5% hydrochloric acid. Used glassware is often accompanied by a large amount of protein and grease, which is not easy to wash out after drying, so it should be immersed in clean water immediately after use for brushing.

2. Brushing: Put the soaked glassware in detergent water and brush it repeatedly with a soft brush. Do not leave dead corners and prevent damage to the surface finish of utensils. Wash and dry clean glassware and prepare for acid dipping.

3. Dipping acid: Dipping acid is to immerse the above-mentioned utensils in the cleaning liquid, also known as acid liquid, through the strong oxidation of acid liquid to remove the possible residual substances on the surface of utensils. Soaking should not be less than six hours, usually overnight or longer. Take care of the utensils.

4. Rinse: The washing and pickling utensils must be fully rinsed with water. Whether the utensils are cleaned after pickling directly affects the success or failure of cell culture. Hand washing of pickled utensils, each utensil should be repeatedly "water-emptied" for at least 15 times, soaked 2-3 times with re-steaming water, air-dried or dried and packed for reserve.
